My name is Brynn. It gets confused with Bryan a lot. I learned to get used to it. I think it is very unique, you are more than likely not going to run into a person with this name as well. I like seeing the struggle of people trying to pronounce it the right way, it is funny. Although you may have to use a fake name at Starbuck's, this name is pretty. I think it goes well with my middle name, Isabell.

I’m a female and my name is Bryn. It’s definitely not as bad of a name as some, but I live in America where the “correct” spelling is Brynn. I just let people spell my name with two n’s because I really just don’t care, lol. Brynn is truthfully such an inspiring name. I love every Brynn I meet. It's feminine and Brynns happen to be gorgeous. If you name your child Brynn they're going to be the best person you know.

I think Brynn is a gorgeous name. I like the simplicity of the name. I do not understand why some people have such a problem with the idea of a name being used on one gender in one country and the other gender in another country. It makes me wonder what they are so afraid of. It is not the end of the world if a boy in Whales named Bryn shares a name with a girl in the US named Brynn. They will likely never meet each other.

I like this name though no longer think it is unique. Add it to the list of other trendy names used here in the States. The fact that it is of Welsh origin and used primarily for boys in Wales and girls in the US is fine by me. Please just get over the fact that you think you picked an unusual name. You did not. Just a pretty one.

This name frustrates me so much for many reasons.
1. Why do people feel the need to change the spelling of a name from another language. It's spelled with one N not 2 (why are trendy people obsessed with adding unnecessary extra Ns, it doesn't change the pronunciation).
2. Why is this name classed as English (modern)? It's WELSH. Adding an extra N to seem cool doesn't change the origin.
3. It's not modern, it's been used for years in Wales.
4. It's certainly not a girl's name. It's so masculine. I'm from Wales, and I know multiple old men named Bryn. It sounds hideous for a girl to me.

I think people need to research this name before naming their American daughters a Welsh boys name.

A girl I know named her daughter Brynn about 14 years ago, I'll have to say at first I didn't like it much. I think it was just so different, but 2 years ago my sister had twins, a boy and a girl who is named Brynn Alexandra, and I simply love it! It has so grown on me and it fits her so well! We call her Brynnie. She's so sassy and I love it!

My mom named me after the actress Brynn Thayer, and knew she was going to name me that from the moment she heard it. I'm only 18 and although there aren't many people my age with that name, which I like because it is unique, the name is becoming quite popular. It originated as a Welsh name for a male, but became very modern in America by adding the extra "n". I find American styles and European styles of names very different, however I respect both. I have had many people / teachers / trainers name their children Brynn because they loved my name so much. I have never heard anything negative about my name, and I personally enjoy how unique it is.

I totally LOVE this name! It's actually one of the characters in one of my many, many ongoing novels. There's also a girl at school with this name. She's talented, pretty, confident, funny, smart, kind, and is the glass-is-always-half-full types. Brynn goes on my top name list!

Surprisingly, I love this name. I usually detest made-up names that sound like they belong in a paperback sci-fi novel. This one, however sounds classy and simple- like a combo of Brooke and Winnie.

This 'name' looks like a tacky masculine combination of Brian and Flynn. Although the spelling Bryn is much nicer, I would never consider using either name on a real person.

As a rule, any name listed on this website as "English (Modern)" is cheap, tacky and low class. Brynn seems to be no exception.

Although this name may sound masculine to Brit/Welsh ears, as an American I find it to be quite feminine and lovely. It's soft, fresh and modern, not harsh at all. I've met a couple toddlers named Brynn and they are adorable.

This name has a harsh sound to it that I don't like. It is also one of those modern, trendy names that make me gag. Bronwyn is much better--in sound and in meaning--if you feel the need to go in this direction.

I have always loved the name Brynn, so much that it's my daughter's name. Everyone I meets thinks her name is so pretty. When I first picked it, my mother-in-law said, "I hate that name, I'm not going to call her that!" But now she loves it, too. And we have yet to meet another Brynn.
