Captain Brian Bishop operated Eastwind flight 517, a Boeing 737 that experienced rudder hardovers in flight, in which the plane rolls abruptly and uncontrollably. Captain Bishop brought the situation under control and landed in Richmond without fatalities nor major injuries. His experience with the issue helped the investigator understand two previous incidents involving the same type of aircraft, both of which, unfortunately, resulted in the loss of all onboard.
The actor Brian Keith (1921-1997), most famous for playing "Uncle Bill" on the sitcom "Family Affair" in the USA between 1966 and 1971, had a major influence on the popularity of this name in the USA during the late 1960s and 1970s. When I was doing my first research on name frequency in Michigan back in the 1970s, when I could still look at actual birth certificates and see first and middle name combinations, it was amazing how often "Brian Keith" showed up. I don't know if people were deliberately naming sons after the actor, or if they had decided on Brian as a first name and chose "Keith" as the middle without realizing why it sounded good to them, but it certainly happened way more often than chance alone could account for.

This is also the name of a character from a game called Quest 64. It works well too, since he himself is held in high regard, being the main character with lots of magical powers.I'm not sure his other names in various languages give the same impression. He isn't straight royalty in the game, but is however living in a Monastery, and the game treats him similar to a Druid by design (nature-based powers, albeit, with Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth, but they do come from nature).

King Brian of the Leprechauns in Disney's 1959 film, 'Darby O'Gill and the Little People'.
The idea that Brian Ború was any kind of savior stems from the questionable and propagandistic Cogad Gáedel re Gallaib. Historically, it seems that he was only a tyrant who sought to establish a national monarchy by bloodshed against Norseman and Irishman alike. Before Brian was born, Norsemen raided Ireland for a few years, their camps became a few cities and these Norsemen became assimilated into Irish life and culture to whatever degree. Ironically, the only conquest in this episode was the one attempted by Brian himself.
