There seems to be a lot of Witches with the name Bonnie. There was a Witch Bonney ('ey' spelling) in Massachusetts that was part of the Salem Witch craze. There is a Bonnie in the film, The Craft, who is a witch and also a witch character with that name in The Vampire Diairies. Never been a fan of the name though.

There's a beautiful Scottish song called "The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond". It's very nostalgic, and captures the romantic spirit of the lost cause of Bonnie Prince Charlie, and the failure of the Jacobite Rising. The chorus is "O you’ll tak’ the high road and I’ll tak’ the low road And I’ll be in Scotland afore ye For me and my true love will never meet again On the Bonnie, Bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond." Every time I hear this name, I think of that song.
