Benedetta

It’s funny to read that this name is nice and easy to pronounce. My name is Benedetta and I have lived in London for a while. The only people who pronounce it well straight away are Spanish and Romanian only :)
For most English speakers the pronunciation is “Benadita” or “Bernadetta”. For this reason I don’t think it is actually easy to pronounce and that is why I ask people to call me by my nickname.
Important thing to mention regards the nickname. Bettina is not used much from what I know, not even in Italy. My nickname is “Bene” (pronounced with Italian, not English, “e”) but I know other women named Benedetta who like to be called “Benny”.

Ben(like the boys name) dee(with long e) ta(short a) (this is the way my name is pronounced but if you were to travel into non US countries-Italy, where the name is still used-it would be pronounced the first way)
