A very rare and poetic name that definitely has a ring to it. The meaning only adds to its poeticness. It’s very rare, but definitely not a foreign name to come across in Urdu usage.
Horrible name. Why would you want to name your son after a violent 17th-century emperor who persecuted Hindus? It sounds like it would be used by conservative Pakistani parents who hate Hindus.
Your reason for disuse of the name is so irrelevant and just plain wrong? "It sounds like it would be used by conservative Pakistani parents who hate Hindus" is basically saying that Russian parents name their children "Joseph" because they hate Lithuanians or Latvians, white American parents use "Donald" because they hate Hispanics or Muslims, or German parents naming children "Adolf" because they hate Jews.
