Meaning: Feminine form of Asterios. In Greek mythology Asteria was a daughter of the Titans Phoebe and Coeus and sister of Leto. In Christian tradition, Saint Asteria (also known as Hesteria) and her sister Saint Grata were martyred at Bergamo in northern Italy in 307 AD.
