Arlen

This is a nice name, and quite rare. I've never met anyone named Arlen, but I did meet one older man named Arlan several years ago, so I'm a little more familiar with that spelling.

I love this and have it as an option for my son's name. I thought it could be spelt Arlan as well though.

I have known two people named Arlen, one male and one female. To me, the name Arlen looks masculine, but sounds feminine. For a girl, Arlyn would probably be a better choice as it looks and sounds more feminine than Arlen.

I really like the sound of Arlen. It makes a great name, in my opinion. The only problem I see is that it sounds slightly feminine.
