Arkhip

I have come across Russian sources that state that Arkhip (Архип) is not the main Russian form of the Greek name Archippos. According to them, the main Russian form is actually Arkhipp (Архипп), with Arkhip being a variant form or spelling. This seems to make sense, as other Greek names ending in -ippos all end in -ipp in Russian... the best example of this probably being Filipp (from Philippos).
