One of very few names where I would use the nickname over the whole form. Archibald is simply too out there, but Archie is perfectly suitable on a child as an elder.
I used to be okay with this name, but now I don't like it since it's become associated with the kid of those attention whores Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Since Prince Harry named his son Archie, this name is gonna explode in popularity anytime soon.

I used to think this name was so old fashioned and adorable. Now all I think of is Archie Andrews from the Netflix drama Riverdale. This name is now not usable and is far too associated with his character. I'm bothered because I really liked the name Archie. Please help me get over Archie's character usage.
I love the name, but all I can think of is pirates when I hear it. It's because when I played Pokemon Sapphire when I was little, there was a villain named Archie who looked like a pirate, so that's made an impression on me.
All I can think of is Archie Bunker. I can pretty much hear his wife Edith's voice saying ''oh Aaarchiiieee'' when I read this name. The name sounds a bit silly anyway.
