Antonina Żabińska is one of the main characters in the book "The Zookeeper's Wife: A War Story" by Diane Ackerman. She and her husband, Jan (pronounced Yahn) Żabiński owned a zoo in Warsaw, Poland. After it was bombed during World War II, they were able to save over 300 people from the Nazis by hiding the refugees in the empty animal cages. You can look it up and read the book - as amazing as it is, this is a true story!
