Okay for a nickname, not a full name! I would hate being stuck with this name!

This is really sweet! I would say I’m pleasantly surprised, but my aunt Andrea goes by this (I call her Ta- long story). Also Andi Mack- love that show!
We named our baby girl born in 2018 Andi (unofficially short for Andromeda). People have mixed reactions. Most people assume she's a boy when they see it written even though it's the feminine spelling. We loved the name Andi because of the simplicity, strength, and moxy of it.

My name is Andrea and I go for Andi. I love it. It has a masculine and artistic bond to it, like Andy Warhol, Andy García... But the spelling with an "i" is more feminine while still maintaining the sound. So yes "Andy and Andi" are the predominant nicknames for Andrews and Andreas. I was shocked when I found out there was a Disney show starring a girl with my name! Wow!

I feel like Andi is a very nice and cute name. I have a name similar to it, but people always think this is how it is spelled. Note that even though 'Andy' is masculine, 'Andi's' spelling gives it a much more feminine feel. All in all this is a good name, I'm actually using it for a character in my book series.
