It looks so misspelled. It should be Anastasia, which is a nice classic.

I believe that names sound exactly how they sound... how those sounds are chosen to be spelled is the question. So, to anyone who says 'this is how this name should PROPERLY be pronounced... you speak from ignorance, not propriety. The pronunciation of a name is always correct according to the owner... the proper way to SPELL that name is what may differ. And I'd rather say COMMON way instead of 'proper' just to avoid sounding like one of you. I won't even address the comment about spelling opinion by someone who says 'spelt' because the irony is painful. The name I mean is pronounced (ah-nah-stah-see-ah) I think this would be the best spelling for that. Anastazia is another option, but looks too different, though I think people might get the pronunciation right more often. The z almost makes you use the correct 'a' sound, like in 'ball'.
I happen to love the name "Anastacia," being that it's also my own name and has been for the 45 years of my life. It's also my namesake to my 98 year old grandmother, which I'm proud to share with her. By the way, I pronounce my name in the Spanish form that would sound something like this: Ah-na-stă-c-ya.

Anastasia is one of my favorite names. Anastacia, in my opinion, looks and sounds... wrong.
The name is pretty in Russian, but in English, it sounds a bit tacky. It doesn't sound foreign, I'm not saying that, as it sounds like a combo of Anna and Stacia.
I love this name. It is my first name, and I am very proud of it. Everyone I have ever met has also loved it and commented on what a pretty name it is. My nickname is "Staci", derived from the middle part of the name.
