My first name is Amour. I'm a girl and I'm French. I'm just gonna share my personal experience as owner of this name :3 I was born in 1994. When I was a child, adults thought it was cute. And the others kids made fun of my name or sang the opening song of "Amour, Gloire et Beauté" (American show) As I grew up, people have not taken me seriously. Every time I said my name to strangers they'd ask me if it's my real name or if it's just a pseudonym. For a job interview a manager even told me that my name wasn't professional and I should change it. That was rude yes. But my name doesn't give only bad experience. When I meet new people, it's a good start to break the ice (even if they ask me my real after =w=") and I'm a calm person but I can say that I acquired the trusts faster of other people with my name because people put a lot of significations in it. Hope it helps you with this comment :3.
This isn't actually used as a name in France, is it? Because I'm thinking about people in Anglophone countries being named Love, and outside of a hippie commune it would appear just a little ridiculous. Is it different in France?
