Alysia

Alysia Montaño (née Johnson) is an American middle distance runner. She is a six-time USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships 800 metres champion (2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015). She gained significant publicity for the 2014 race that she competed while 8 months pregnant.

Alysia Nicole Harris is an American poet based out of Atlanta. She is a Cave Canem fellow, was twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and won the Stephen Dunn Poetry Prize in 2014 and 2015. She has performed spoken word poetry in Germany, Canada, Slovakia, South Africa, and the UK, and at the United Nations.

Alysia Yeoh is a fictional character created by writer Gail Simone for the Batgirl ongoing series published by DC Comics. She is Barbara Gordon’s best friend and a transgender woman. At the time of her debut appearance, she was noted for being the first major transgender character written in a contemporary context in a mainstream comic book. The first ever transgender wedding premiered in Batgirl #45. The character will make her live-action film debut in the DC Extended Universe film Batgirl, portrayed by Ivory Aquino.
