Alida Withoos (c. 1661/62 – 5 December 1730) was a Dutch botanical artist and painter. She was the daughter of the painter Matthias Withoos. Unlike her husband, brothers and sister, Alida acquired a certain reputation painting under her own name, principally due to her botanical images.
Alida Vázquez (1930–2016) was a Mexican composer who lived and worked in the United States. After completing her music studies, she studied journalism and worked as a music therapist. In 1976 she began teaching music at the Bank Street College of Education.
Alida Chelli (23 October 1943 – 14 December 2012) was an Italian singer, and actress. She was mainly known for her appearances in stage musicals. She achieved her first success as singer, with the song "Sinnò me moro", which opens the 1959 film "Un maledetto imbroglio".
Alida Marroni is the new keyboard/vocalist for the Victory Records band "1997." She replaced former band member, Kerri Mack. They're a pretty good band, I think. Anyways, I think Alida is a pretty name, and it seems pretty unique.
Italian actress Alida Valli (May 3, 1921-April 22, 2006), who starred in films such as "The Paradine Case" (1947) and "The Third Man" (1949), was a famous bearer of this name.
