This name is born by two lakes, one in South Australia, about 100 kilometers away from Adelaide. This lake was named after Princess Alexandrina, who would later take the name Queen Victoria after ascending to the English throne in 1837. According to Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime, the lake is inhabited by a monster called the Muldjewangk. Another Lake Alexandrina is located in the Mackenzie Basin of New Zealand's South Island.
