Shoutout to Tamsyn Muir for naming the Resurrection Beast/Haunted Barbie of the dead planet Earth after the avenging goddess of the wronged dead. From wikipedia: The Erinyes (/ɪˈrɪni.iːz/ ih-RI-nee-eez;[1] Ancient Greek: Ἐρινύες, sg. Ἐρινύς Erinys),[2] also known as the Eumenides (Εὐμενίδες, the "Gracious ones")[a] and commonly known in English as the Furies, are chthonic goddesses of vengeance in ancient Greek religion and mythology. A formulaic oath in the Iliad invokes them as "the Erinyes, that under earth take vengeance on men, whosoever hath sworn a false oath".Considering the plot of the Locked Tomb series deeply involves the grand themes of the price of death, and the (sometimes divine) consequences of not paying that price in a magical-science fiction epic, it is extremely fitting to name the Angry Barbie/undead soul of the murdered planet earth after the avenging goddess whose role it is to bring reckoning for those who have wronged those to whom they are bound.
