I like it. Alba or Albi would be a cute nickname.

My name is Albina. I’m from Ghana. The name Albina means “a girl who brings happiness”. I’ve never met anyone with my name. It is often pronounced wrongly as Al-bye-na and yes most people say Albino or Albyena. For short people call me Alby.

My mother is Albina and I love her so much. The name means 'white light' and that's what my mother is.

My name is Albina and I'm Ukrainian. I know of 3 other people who share my name, met one in real life. The other girls tend to shorten their names to Alya, but I never had it shortened.

I've had to deal with a lot of mispronunciation, so it's pretty much a habit to spell it out right away. The worst example of mispronunciation was a teacher that called me Albania all year long. I've been called Albino, Alvina, Albeeno, pronounced as Al-Bye-na, Albinutsa (little bee in Romanian, I think?)

Pretty, but too close to Albino.

I love this name, but it's very close to Albania, and I find that funny because I have Albanian ancestry.

I don't like "Al" or "Bean" or "Beanie" for a girl's nickname. "Albie" is ok but because this name is just way too close to the spelling for "albino", I couldn't ever saddle a child with it.
