Akiko (晶子) Yajima (矢島), born in 1967, is a Japanese voice actress from Kashiwazaki, Niigata. Her best-known role is as the title character Shinnosuke Nohara in the long-running anime series 'Crayon Shin-chan'. She also voices Mipple in the original 'Futari wa Pretty Cure', Sally Yoshinaga in 'The Brave Express Might Gaine', Paffy Pafuricia in 'Haō Taikei Ryū Knight', Relena Peacecraft in 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing', Ayumi Himekawa in 'Glass Mask', Riku and Diva in 'Blood+', Longlong in 'Shizuku-chan' and Kohaku in 'Inuyasha'. In video games, she voices Annie Barrs in 'Tales of series', and has dubbed for Anakin Skywalker and Harry Potter in some of the live-action films and video games. She is also known for being the voice of Spyro the Dragon in the 'Spyro' video games, which she retired from in 2000. On June 29, 2018, Akiko Yajima retired from her career as Shinnosuke Nohara's voice actress and newly announced that Yumiko Kobayashi took over the role as Shinnosuke Nohara.

She is the most accomplished Filipina swimmer in the Southeast Asian Games having won eight gold medals in the biennial multi-sport meet between 1987 and 1993. Akiko Morigami is a Japanese former professional tennis player. She turned professional in 1998. On August 15, 2005, Morigami reached her career-high singles ranking: World No. 41. Morigami has won 1 singles title in her career, defeating top-seed Marion Bartoli of France 6–1 6–3 in Prague in 2007. She has reached two other singles finals, both in Cincinnati (falling to Patty Schnyder in 2005, and losing to Anna Chakvetadze in 2007). In the 2006 French Open, she upset then-World No.3 Nadia Petrova in the first round. Morigami retired after the 2009 HP Japan Women's Open in Osaka. In the first round she defeated qualifier Anastasia Rodionova 6–4, 4–6, 6–2 and in the second round she lost to the eventual champion Samantha Stosur 1–6, 2–6. This was her last professional WTA match.
Akiko Yano is a Japanese pop and jazz musician and singer. She was born Akiko Suzuki (鈴木 顕子 Suzuki Akiko) in Tokyo and raised in Aomori, and later began her singing career in the mid-1970s. Her vocals and singing style have been compared to British singer Kate Bush.
