If you pronounce it in Norwegian (or Norse) the Æ will be pronounced like the "a" sound in man. This will not make a very pretty name, as the Æ sound in the Norwegian alphabet is concidered kind of ugly. Here in Norway, the alternative "Ask" (AH-sk) is used as a name.
