This is my legal middle name. I think this spelling and pronunciation (the way my grandmother does... read on) aren't attractive at all, so I've altered mine. :DWhile many people pronounce this name "Ay-dree-en" anyway, it is my grandmother's first name and she pronounces it "Ay-dree-ANNE." SO. Since I don't like that pronunciation, I've changed my middle name from Adrianne to Adrian so it isn't as harsh sounding. :D
I love Adrianne. But it doesn't mean that the name is 'ruined' because of Adrianne Curry- just think! There is a bad person for every name- for instance, you might love the name Zoey, but there may be a criminal named Zoey. That doesn't mean that you can't name your daughter Zoey! The name probably has little to do with it.
My name is Adrianne and growing up I hated it. I couldn't stand it when people came up to me and shouted "Yo, Adrian!" My mom spelled it with an A in the middle in case I wanted to shorten my name to Anne, but I never did. Now I'm exclusively called Addie, except for my mom and sister who call me Anni (which I also hate, but they don't care), but now that I've grown up, I wish I had continued to use my given name, Adrianne because I think it's beautiful.
I really like this. I like Adrienne too, but Adrianne is just so much more unusual and different. It's not on my favourites list (simply because I have way too many favourites already) but still, I'd definitely consider it for a second name of a future daughter I might have. Lovely name!
I was born Adrienne, but changed it to Adrianne because it was more feminine, and easier for people to pronounce. I love my name! I am the only Adrianne I know. Noone ever says, Adrianne who? Nickname Dren.
My name is Adrianne Michelle. I have always been proud of such a name because it is beautiful, unique, yet not strange or unnatural. It is to the "Adrianne"s of the world's shame that Adrianne Curry's name is "Adrianne" because she is a playboy. Sorry. That's just my opinion.
