Áki in Faeroese share the same spelling, meaning and history as the Icelandic usage of this Old Norse name.
But the pronunciation is different: On the Faeroe Islands, Áki is pronounced as AW:ch-e.
AW as in bought, sawn
CH as in cheek (tsh)
I, is pronounced as E in Edify.
