Where do people get the idea that it means warmth? It comes from Aed which means Fire. Probably meaning something along the lines of Little Fire, being Aed with a suffix of an or en or in which usually indicates in Gaelic names that something is small, little. It probably denotes a child that has some spunk, or a fiery temper. Or maybe a spiritual connotation.
