I believe names have a great impact on a persons character development, the way it sounds, its contemporary implication and the way it is used as the root for nicknames, shortenings and rhymes. It is also to do with the ease which others can spell the name and so how often a day a child needs to pronounve clearly there name and maybe spell it.
You can not be too careful or spend too much time looking into a name, it may be the most important thing you give them after life itself.
