Maya

Maya (also called Classic Maya) was an Indigenous American language which was used during the era of the Maya civilization. It was written with Maya hieroglyphics.

The descendants of Classic Maya are the Mayan languages, a language family of Mexico and Central America. This family includes Yucatec Maya.
