Rory is a nonbinary soccer/football player and Morgan is a female music nerd. Rory is impulsive and befriends everyone, Morgan is shy but loyal. They're both college freshmen and they end up as roommates after both of their original roommates dropped out. Their story is part slow-burn friends to lovers romance, but also family themed as Rory continuously adopts new people into the group. They usually help solve other people's problems (Rory gains their trust and Morgan does the "brainy stuff") and then... maybe their knack for alliance-building pays off when Morgan gets into some kind of trouble and Rory's charm isn't enough on its own to get her out of it.
(so basically a really bad tropey YA book???)
