A family member is pick-pocketed / burgled / duped
Often, Rose would find herself leaving her father's small apothecary shop at sunset. After her father's illness took a turn for the worse, it rendered him unable to continue running the shop on his own. Luckily, Rose, who always had a keen interest in herbs and grew up assisting her father in creating his many remedies, was ready to step in. She had help, of course, from her younger sister, Kitte. Though Kitte was 8 years her junior, she did enough adequate work to help move the business along and keep it running.
That day, as she usually did, Rose sent her sister home to help their mother. She packed up her bag with the usual things: leftovers from home, a few bottles of medicines for her father, and a small change book filled with the family's profits of the day. As she closed the shop and wandered down her usual path to her horse, Rose was attacked from behind, briefly knocked unconscious. When she woke, she had discovered that the small pocket of change had been taken and the few bottles of medicines had shattered on the ground. She picked up what she could and shoved it into her bag and slowly stumbled to her horse. Usually, she would ride her to parents home to provide them with that day's profit, but instead went home to her husband, Jamie. With her father being ill, that money was highly depended on, and she couldn't possibly break the news to them on her own; She wanted to tell Jamie first.

There is a big festival; dance, music, food, celebration!

The town near Rose and Jamie's home - the one in which Rose's family apothecary sits - was hosted its yearly festival. It had only been three weeks since Rose's father had passed away, and she (as well as her mother and sister) still weren't interested in attending. Jamie somehow convinced them that it would it would be good for them to enjoy the liveliness of the festival, as her father would have wanted. While Rose's mother ultimately decided she didn't want to go, Rose and Kitte did attend, and did enjoy their time at the festival.

By the end of the festival (last year), Rose had felt like her normal self again, and for a brief moment, had forgot about the pain of losing her dad. And it was that night she and Jamie had conceived their first child.
About nine months later, Jamie and Rose welcomed their first child - a boy! The baby boy was born with a full head of hair - curly and brown, just like his mother, but he had his fathers striking green eyes. They named him Eoin - after Rose's father. Eoin James Malcolm MacFayden.
