DW [20] Ha-Yun Jung Lee (Korean) (curly dark brown hair, gray eyes) (dry cleaner’s assistant)
2018: Family event – trouble with the law
Ha-Yun is arrested for speeding, but ultimately gets away with 50-pound fine.
2019: Pet event – new pet – cat
Gabe and Ha-Yun decide to start their family by getting a cat. It doesn’t take them long to fall in love with a white British shorthair from the animal shelter. The cat, Winston, is a little skittish from being abused by his previous owner, but he loves the occasional cuddle.
2020: Family event – argument
Gabe and Ha-Yun get into an argument about gender roles that almost ends in divorce, but in the end, they make up and kiss.
2021: Pet event – a pet gets sick
Winston starts showing signs of a viral infection when his fever goes up and he starts sleeping more than usual. After Gabe and Ha-Yun take him to the vet, it’s determined that Winston has come down with the bird flu, which can be fatal in cats. However, Winston recovers within a month and is back to his old self again.
2022: Child event – baby girl
Gabe and Ha-Yun finally welcome their first child, a baby girl. Miranda Ji-Wu Lindquist has Ha-Yun’s hair and Gabe’s eyes and facial features, so Gabe has a feeling she’ll be a total daddy’s girl.
2023: Child event – baby girl
Another baby girl joins the family, Whitney Chae-Won Lindquist. Miranda adores her and is always curious about her.
2024: Pet event – new pet (dog)
Gabe and Ha-Yun adopt a family dog, a golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix named Bella. Bella is very sweet and very smart, and she and Winston love to chase each other around the house.
2025: Pet event – new pet (bunny)
Miranda receives her own pet bunny, Snuggles, for her third birthday. She’s thrilled with the new acquisition and is already getting used to caring for Snuggles.
2026: Child event – baby boy
Ha-Yun gives birth to her first son, Nicholas Yeong-Su Lindquist. Unlike his parents, Nick is born with red hair, but with Ha-Yun’s eyes; Mira and Whitney love to help take care of him, and all three pets are adapting very well.
2027: Family event – family reunion
Gabe’s older sister throws a family reunion in celebration of her son graduating high school. The family is reunited with aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins, all from Gabe’s side of the family.
2028: Pet event – a pet has children
Bella gets pregnant from having sex with an unfixed male poodle, and nine weeks later, she gives birth to six healthy puppies, all but one of which are being put up for adoption. The one puppy the family keeps is a female with scruffy, tan, white-spotted fur; Whitney names her Penny and is a very good human mother to her.
2029: Family event – move to a new place
Ha-Yun has been missing Southeast Asia lately, so she and Gabe move the family to Thailand, settling in Chiang Mai. Of course, Eastern culture is very different from Western culture, so the kids have a lot to get used to.
2030: Career event – laid off
After only a year working at the local dry cleaner’s, Ha-Yun is laid off in the midst of decreasing business. The dry cleaner’s goes out of business to make way for a Vietnamese restaurant.
2031: Child event – baby girl
Gabe and Ha-Yun are finally able to conceive a fourth child, after three years of trying. It’s a girl, and Ha-Yun names her Jasmine Kwang-Hee Lindquist. She has blond hair, and contrary to her older siblings, blue eyes.
2032: Pet event – new pet (dog)
Nick brings home a stray boxer from the playground at school, and neither parent is happy. In fact, they only let Nick keep him when he promises to take good care of him. Nick keeps his word, too, and names the dog Max.
2033: Pet event – a pet dies
Winston gets sick with the bird flu again, but this time, it’s fatal and he dies as a result. The whole family, especially Jazz, is devastated, and the kids have a makeshift funeral for him and bury him in the backyard with a cardboard grave.
2034: Child event – baby boy
Lindquist child #5 is here! Gabe and Ha-Yun welcome their second boy to the family, Everett In-Ha Lindquist. This pregnancy has proved to be a tough one, however, and Ha-Yun goes into labor at only 33 weeks. The doctors are unable to stall her contractions, so Everett needs to be born via C-section. While healthy in the end, Everett is quite small for his age.
2035: Family event – injured/sick permanently
Everett is found to have been born with detached retinas, making him completely blind. Still, Gabe and Ha-Yun take this news with a grain of salt, knowing Everett is healthy otherwise.
2036: Pet event – new pet (hamster)
Jazz gets to bring home her class’s hamster, Dash, after her teacher leaves the school to teach elsewhere. She’s sad about her teacher’s departure, but also happy that she gets her own pet. Dash lives in a cage on Jazz’s bedside table.
2037: Family event – new hobby
Nick develops an interest in toy cars and starts collecting them. He keeps them lined up in a shallow cardboard box on his dresser.
2038: Career event – new job within career field
Ha-Yun finally gets a new job, and it’s within her original career field. She’s snagged a position as a housekeeper at a Comfort Inn, and she loves it.
2039: Career event – promotion
After only a year, Ha-Yun is promoted to head maid at the hotel. This job is more demanding, but Ha-Yun doesn’t mind because at least it’s a job!
2040: Pet event – new pet (cat)
After Winston’s passing, the kids are finally getting over him, and Jazz has requested another kitten. Gabe and Ha-Yun are happy to oblige and surprise her with a tortoiseshell American shorthair kitten, which she names Minnie.
2041: Child event – baby girl
Mira has tied the knot with Dominik Kowalski, her longtime pen pal from Poland. Six months after the wedding, Mira finds out she’s pregnant with their first child, a girl. She and Dominik decide to name the baby together, with an English first name and a Polish middle. Mira gives birth to their daughter, Peyton Halina Kowalski, early in the morning, immediately after which Dominik starts his spoiling.
2042: Career event – pay raise
Ha-Yun gets a pay raise at work, which will help her save up for a big family vacation. Meanwhile, Whitney marries an Englishman named Morgan Patton. After their honeymoon, Whitney and Morgan move to Austria and find a house in Salzburg.
