Year One
Name - Sarah Kosmatka (14)
Rian and I bought a Fennec Fox this year. She is the most adorable, intelligent animal I've ever seen. We've named her Sarah.
Year Two
We sold our house and moved onto a houseboat, what an odd adventure! I much prefer this though, now on weekends and on vacation we don't have to worry about the house because we'll be in it! And, even better, we can go almost anywhere because most places are accessible by water.
Year Three
Taking my twin's advice Rian and I took a little time for ourselves out in the Bahamas. It was quite lovely and relaxing.
Year Four
Rian, Sarah and I headed to Niagara Falls. Oh, the falls were so beautiful, I'd never seen them before and what a sight it was!
Year Five
Name - Marcus Kosmatka (12)
A stray cat had been hanging around the docks for months and nobody claimed it. The thing was so sad-looking and matted that I took it to the vet who told me that, other than the fur and some ticks I had a perfectly healthy two-year-old cat on my hands. So, of course I convinced Rian that we should keep the cat and he agreed. Marcus gets along fairly well with his sister and the fighting has gone down considerably in the last three weeks.
Year Six
Name - Daisy Kosmatka (9)
Rian and I decided to get a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, who we named Daisy. She's even-tempered and gets along wonderfully with Sarah and Marcus. Although Sarah does not feel the same about her! She nips at Daisy's nose when she gets too close but Daisy just keeps on trying to play with her older sister.
Year Seven
Our little family moved off of the houseboat, though we still kept it just in case, and into a lovely house in California. Rian got a better job offer at a library out there and, really, as long as I'm near the sea I can work anywhere.
Year Eight
Name - Enzo Kosmatka (7)
We decided to adopt another cat that Rian found around the library. The poor little baby was left in a dumpster and if Rian hadn't heard him mewing well...I don't want to think about what would've happened. But he is settling into his new life fairly well, and he's such a handsome fellow! He's a hit with his older sisters but his older brother doesn't like him so much.
Year Nine
I was transfered from Sea World to a private company that does extremely good work with Orcas.
Year Ten
Name - Layla Hailey Kosmatka (5)
Hair - Red, straight
Eyes - Brown
Name - Brontë Jocelyn Kosmatka (5)
Hair - Red, wavy

Name - Natalia Louisa Kosmatka (5)

After several years of thinking it over I decided to undergo IVF and and now Rian and I have fraternal triplets! We didn't expect three children but they have brightened our lives in a way nothing else did. The animals are curious about the new additions but, for the most part, keep their distance. Well, except for Daisy. She can't get enough of the smelly diapers and screaming infants.
Year Eleven
Rian, after going to night school for the past five years, has become a full-fledged lawyer. He was always interested in the legal system but wanted to see what being a librarian was like for a little while. He quite enjoys his new job.
Year Twelve
I had to go to a conference down in San Francisco for about a week and, while I enjoyed the first real 'alone-time' I had in two years, I missed my family far too much to stay that long for the next conference.
Year Thirteen
Name - Jason Ronald Kosmatka (2)

Name - Sebastian Hunter Kosmatka (2)

Name - Leo Dalton Kosmatka (2)

I underwent IVF for the second time and we would up with triplets yet again! They were supposed to be twins but Jason and Sebastian split and, well, triplets we have! Rian was shocked but more than happy, he was almost giggling with joy! The girls are quite happy as well, they said they asked for a brother for each of them and they got their wish so they're over the moon.
Year Fourteen
Name - Georgetown 'George' (1)
The girls were pleading for another cat because 'they're only two and we can't share with two!' And, after a few weeks of constant begging, Rian and I relented. The girls fought over names for a while before finally settling on Georgetown, or George, for short.
Year Fifteen
Name - Peter Rutendo Kosmatka (2)
Hair - Black, straight
Eyes - Black
Rian and I adopted a sweet little boy from Southern Africa. He's slowly picking up English and, though he misses his native country greatly, he is fitting in here very well.
