Daniel Roee Amit has curly brown hair and brown eyes. He was born in Tiberias to Amichai and Roni Amit. His father left when he was ten and his mother died when he was 18, leaving his 15 year old sister, a prominent gymnast, and 11 year old brother in his care. He is currently 23 (sister Liat is 20 and brother Eli is 16) and has just become a social worker.
22 year old Maya Rivka Levine was born and raised in Tiberias, too. She has pale blue eyes and golden brown curls and grew up with a twin brother Guy and a little sister (now 17) Shira. Maya is a widely known singer (goes by the stage name Mira, partially because it is similar to her mom's maiden name, Amir, and partially because in Hebrew Mee Ra translates to Who is evil?) and occasionally guest stars on various shows (think NCIS, SVU, House).
Maya and Dan have known each other since they were little. Best friends since they were born, they only got together in high school because Dan worked up enough courage to ask her out. She had been asked by many but turned them all down because they weren't him.
The couple currently resides in Tiberias, but plans to move to the city of angels, eventually, so that Maya's "commute" to work isn't so far.

Maya's fame is growing and growing! Her albums have become all the rage in Europe, USA, Canada, and Israel. She has also been offered a long term guest role on a tv show! She is very excited and so is the rest of the family.
Year 2
Ethan Michael was born in London, UK about eight years ago to Amichai Amit and Rachel Goldman, as a result of an affair they had. Amichai moved in with her after he abandoned the woman he cheated on Roni with. He was about a year old when his father moved in with the family and about five when he left. For the next three years, Rachel fell into a depression and committed suicide. His grandparents couldn't take him and he had no other family so his social worker looked Amichai's family up. She found Dan and immediately begged him to take the child. He didn't want to and he tried to pass the responsibility onto another family member, but no one was willing so finally Maya convinced him. Ethan has blue eyes and straight brown hair. He's sweet but naive and can't seem to understand why Liat doesn't like him.
Year 3
After much begging on Ethan and Eli's part, Maya allowed them to get a pet. The two boys, nine and 19, decided to get a set of turtles. Maya and Liat, who had not been fond of the idea of a reptile or amphibian, were delighted that they had chosen something reasonable and non-snaky. The turtles have been named Vered im Kotzim (Rose with Thorns) and Steven Richard Bobby, or Steve Bobby Rick.
Year 4
During the summer break between fourth and fifth grades for Ethan, Maya and Dan decided it was time to get away from the franticness of life. After much deliberation, they decided that going to Cancun, Mexico for two weeks of relaxing would be a good idea. They planned to stay at an all-exclusive resort and fly home through Argentina, spending a few days there. The reason for this was that Maya's Tia Marta lived there and Maya hadn't seen her in ages. The trip was great and very relaxing for everyone, especially Liat who was getting a break from college. Marta was very glad to see everybody and tried to get everybody to learn some Spanish, it worked and now the boys speak Spanish whenever they don't want others to understand.
Year 5
During the Passover holiday, Maya, Dan, Liat, Eli, and Ethan stayed at Maya's uncle's nature reserve in nearby mountains. For about a week, they hiked, drank hot chocolate and sat around a berry tree talking about anything and everything. It was a great bonding experience for the family.
Year 6
Dan was laid-off. The state department was seeing the need for less social workers, which is good for everybody, but bad for Dan because it meant that he wasn't needed. Dan's trying to take comfort in the fact that there shouldn't be any social workers in a perfect world and is currently looking for a new job. Maya tells him not to worry, her income will get them more than through.
On a lighter note, Liat is getting serious with her boyfriend Nadav Ben David. Nadav is similar in coloring to Dan and is a overall good guy.
Year 7
After a lot of consideration, Maya and Dan decided to get Ethan a couple fishes for his 13th birthday. He wasn't as happy as he would have been if he would have received another turtle, but he was thankful and named them Jenkins, Watson, and Steve Bobby Rick Jr.
Liat married Nadav in a late spring wedding. It was beautiful, but Maya is a little sad because the house seems empty without the fifth person.
Year 8
For a taping of an episode of a crime drama, Maya had to fly to Los Angeles. Dan, Liat, and Ethan came with her. Eli wanted to but had to work and Nadav's mother was in the hospital so it wouldn't work. During the filming the producer decided to let Ethan preform instead of someone who backed out and Dan and Liat could make cameo appearances. The camera loved them all.
Year 9
Having been trying to get pregnant for a while and not succeeding, Maya and Dan decided to adopt a little 3-year-old girl from Ireland! Ciara Niamh was renamed Carmel Naomi upon her arrival to her new home. She has straight red hair and hazel eyes. Her mother was a young unwed woman who wouldn't burden her family with a illegitimate child so she gave her away. Carmel is very sweet and enjoys spending time with everyone, especially her new mother.
In other news, Liat had a baby girl, Galia Tikvah Ben David!
Year 10
On April 4th, Roni Juliet was born with curly brown hair and blue eyes that soon turned amber. She was petite, weighing 6lbs 9oz and being 17 inches long, but her parents thought her a hundred shades of perfect. Her older sister, aunts, and uncle also thought she was something special. Roni will grow up to be curious, bubbly, and friendly.
Meanwhile, Eli has moved out and in to a new apartment with his girlfriend. They plan on getting married soon. Ethan is complaining that the female race is trying to take over, but in reality he is thrilled to be an uncle.
Year 11
The family has just adopted again. This time the adoptee is a little boy by the name of Moshe Yosef. He is six years old and from Eilat. His parents died during a terrorist attack and he was matched with the Amits, who hadn't realized they were still on the list. After hearing his story, though, they decided to accept him and care for him. He has straight blonde hair, hazel eyes, and is pretty laid-back.
Eli and his girlfriend Rebecca, an American, got married.
Gali has become a big sister to Dror Pinchas.
