DKing: Aloysius Barnaby Frederick Augustus
DQueen: Esther Xiomara Jehanne Clementina Augusta
DPrincess1: Lark Augusta Gloriana Melodia
IllegitimateSon: Baron Sylvester Frederick Gawain
From the Royal House of: Verbena
In the Kingdom of: Solandra
Baroness Christina Olivia, mother of Sylvester, was Baron Theobald Jeremy Sebastian's wife. Sadly, the baron passed away, leaving Baroness Christina with five children (a three-year-old son, a pair of two-year-old twins, and a pair of one-year-old twins), not including four-year-old Sylvester.
Four years before Aloysius Barnaby Frederick Augustus married Esther, he unknowingly became the father of a young child--Baron Sylvester Frederick Gawain. He and Baroness Christina, who are distant cousins, both unknowingly formed the child while Aloysius was staying with Christina. At the time, both were very young and unmarried, though Theobald was courting Christina. Theobald and Christina were married only two weeks after that night, and both thought that the child was theirs. They were wrong. Theobald couldn't see any resemblance to himself in the child. He couldn't even see any resemblance to his relatives. That's when Christina realized that the child was Aloysius', not Theobald's.
Now, when Sylvester is four, Christina is dreadfully ill and wants to place Sylvester in the care of his father. Sylvester is rather loathe to doing so, because he despises his father for never visiting--and he's only four! Sylvester doesn't even know who his father is! When Christina announced to Sylvester that he was really going to live with his father, Sylvester, despite trying his hardest to keep the tears back, cried and shouted in despair--but of course he would at four years old. How was he supposed to love a man he never knew?
Sylvester has been picked up and brought to the palace. In his chubby, little hand he carried a note from his mother. It read: "Dearest Aloysius, I am glad to hear that you are moving up in station. You deserve the position you have now. And as the king's cousin, I entreat you to do me the largest favor you ever could. As you know, I am very ill. My eldest child belongs to you, Aloysius, my cousin. His name is Sylvester Frederick Gawain. I truly wish you to just take him in and treat him as your own. He was brokenhearted when he found out that his father wasn't truly who he thought it was. Please, be kind to him. He needs you, Aloysius. He needs you. I do not know what Esther is like, but make sure she treats him kindly and as she would treat her own children. Make sure he leads the life that is fit for him. Thank you, dearest cousin. Thank you. ~Baroness Christina Olivia."
When Aloysius and Esther read the note, both knew exactly what to do. Aloysius gave Esther a look, and she exclaimed, "He shall stay! It will be good for little Lark to have an elder sibling, even if it isn't truly her full sibling. He shall stay and be treated as if he were my own."
Sylvester is treated very well and is being trained as a good Christian, like his father and Queen Esther Xiomara Jehanne Clementina Augusta. His position in the kingdom is as yet undetermined. Who knows what young Baron Sylvester Frederick Gawain will become? Only time will tell.
While Sylvester was receiving the news that he wasn't Baron Theobald's son, Esther was giving birth to a daughter, Princess Lark Augusta Gloriana Melodia. Princess Lark looks much like both her parents and croons like her mother. Lark already has a lovely voice, even though she's only days old. Sylvester adores her and has become a better boy even though he has only been with Aloysius, Esther, and Lark for a week.
