I think we should stick to traditional royal names, but make allowances for cultural variations (Frederick could be Friedrich in a German family such as mine,or Alexander could be Aleksandr in a Russian one).
I dont mind the idea of compromise, but I think maybe something where names used in both family have to be used in a honouring way would be good.
