Peter, who served in France during the war, met a fierce and beautiful French Resistance fighter named Josette, whom he quickly fell in love with. The two returned with a war orphan they adopted as soon as they married, Esmee. Samantha, thier oldest granddaughter, has also married her college sweetheart, Garrett. They are eagerly awaiting their first great grandchild.
