John and Marie began dating when Marie was a junior and John was a senior in high school. They both attended the same college afterwards and John proposed shortly after he graduated. They were married in Ohio, where they grew up, honeymooned in Nassau in the Virgin Islands, and bought their first home in Denver within the first year they were married. John Jr. was born shortly after moving to Denver, and now the family is living together happily, and looking towards the future.
