Writing prompt:
It's been 4 months since you got married, and you found out you're expecting. You didn't want to tell you're hubby yet because you thought maybe the test was wrong. After a few weeks of early morning sickness, you feel you should tell him because you want him to share in this lovely experience you're going though. You wanted to tell him in someway that he could share the moment in surprise and disbelief. But you just can't figure out how. Two weeks later you finally figure out how to tell him. How did you tell your hubby you're going to have a baby? How did he react? Did he already suspect you were? How did you tell the happy grandparents? How did they react? How was the pregnancy? How was the birth? Are you actually ready to start your family? So soon? How are you doing with you're new little bundle of joy?

Shortly after getting settled in their new house and new surroundings, Abby noticed she was late. At first she didn't really believe the two little pink dots on the pregnancy test, but when she started to feel horribly sick in the morning, she realized that she really was expecting a baby. She thought really hard about how to tell Chris, who she knew was going to be thrilled, until she bought a "Congratulations on the new baby"-card and set it up on his bedside table. Chris had suspected something like that because of the early morning vomiting lately, but was as happy as he had never been in his life before. They waited until the 3 months mark to tell Abby's parents and Chris's mother. All three grandparents-to-be were very happy about the news, and stated that it was about time.
The pregnancy went smoothly, but the birth was a 48 hour marathon in the hospital. Finally, Chris and Abby welcomed their little baby girl into the world. She was named Charlotte with the middle names Stella (after Abby's sister who had died in a car accident four years ago) and Elizabeth, which honored both grandmothers in some way. She's a very happy, uncomplicated baby and has Abby's blue-grey eyes.

Are you actually ready to start your family? So soon? Yes, they were ready... Tony and Susie used to live together before marriage (3 years) so everything's quite organized when they decided to take the next step in their relationship

Not too long after moving to the Netherlands Ally fell ill. At first she thought it was the flu, as she had been teaching at a local kindergarden. But after a while she still wasn't getting any better and then she realized she was late... Ally decided to take a test even thought she was 100% sure that she was only late due to stress. However the test said otherwise and was just faintly positive. Not believing what she saw she decided to ignore the test and retest later. Soon after she began throwing up every morning and it became pretty obvious to her that the test had not been lying to her. After a few weeks it she knew she had to tell him. Ally decided to get him a gift from herself and a gift from the baby. The gift from the baby was a little onesie that said "I love daddy", the gift from Ally was a photo frame. When Ross opened them he was very suprised. He also mentioned that he had thought she was acting different but he just didn't believe it. At that time Alison was about 8 weeks along, and they decided to wait till Ally's parents came to visit (in four weeks). Once Ally's parents (Thomas and Ophelia) arrived they knew something was up. When they told her parents, by showing them an ultrasound, they were over the moon. A first grandchild is a wonderful thing. They did, however, mention that they were a bit young Ally and Ross agreed with them aswell. The other grandparents (Eloise and Brian) were notified by phone, they were also thrilled but this wasn't there first grandkid (they already had two), they said it was about time :O, but were happy. The pregnancy went by smoothly and the birth was uncomplcated but very painful. Even though they wanted to wait longer to have kids, Ross and Ally embraced parenthood well. Cora is a calm baby and somewhat curious. She is also very alert.

Things have been great since the wedding. JJ & Autumn had decided to wait awhile before starting a family, mainly because Autumn had been asked to be maid of honour at her best friend, Alexa's, wedding 18 months after their own. They had agreed that they would wait and start trying after that. However, nature had other ideas!!!
Autumn started suspecting that she might be pregnant when she missed a period, and took a pregnancy test. The test was positive, but that second little line on the test was so faint, that Autumn convinced herself that it was probably wrong. She went on with her life, but when only a week later she found herself very nauseous in the mornings, she had to face facts that nature had intervined on the best laid of plans and she was in fact pregnant. Once this news sunk in, she was beyond excited and couldn't wait to share the news with JJ.
Autumn decided to wait another week before telling him, which meant that she was able to tell him on their anniversary! That night she cooked him all his favorites for dinner, and next to his place was his gift. She'd purchased a mug saying "World's Best Dad", and couldn't wait to see his face when he opened it. Sure enough, when he opened his anniversary gift Autumn couldn't help but chuckle at the moment of total confusion on his face before his face lit up as he understood the meaning. JJ was over the moon, and didn't care that he was going to be a Daddy so much sooner than they'd planned.
JJ & Autumn decided to wait until she'd got through the first trimester before they told their families and friends, even though the anticipation of sharing their news was almost unbearable. Once Autumn had hit that 3 month mark, they decided to host a barbeque so that they could tell everyone all at once. They family was thrilled, especially Alexa once Autumn reassured her that the baby would have arrived before her wedding, and Autumn would still be able to be her maid of honour.
Once the morning sickness past, Autumn had a fairly easily pregnancy, and she and JJ were thrilled when they welcomed their little girl, Lillian Alice, or Lily.

Things have been great since the wedding. JJ & Autumn had decided to wait awhile before starting a family, mainly because Autumn had been asked to be maid of honour at her best friend, Alexa's, wedding 18 months after their own. They had agreed that they would wait and start trying after that. However, nature had other ideas!!!
Autumn started suspecting that she might be pregnant when she missed a period, and took a pregnancy test. The test was positive, but that second little line on the test was so faint, that Autumn convinced herself that it was probably wrong. She went on with her life, but when only a week later she found herself very nauseous in the mornings, she had to face facts that nature had intervined on the best laid of plans and she was in fact pregnant. Once this news sunk in, she was beyond excited and couldn't wait to share the news with JJ.
