When Ophelia told her parents she was homosexual, their reactions were very different. Yulia, who grew up with a gay older brother, told her daughter that she was fine with the realization. Gabriel, who was from a rather untolerant family, had more trouble getting used to the idea, but eventually he accepted it and told Ophelia that he "would support her no matter what".
