This is my daughter Josephine Frances.
You say: Hi Josephine, I love your name!
You think: Her mother must have GREAT taste. I adore Josephine and love Frances... it goes so well together, so old fashioned and quaint.
This is my son Hugo Charles.
You say: Hi Hugo.
You think: Reminds me of Hurricane Hugo which tore apart Charleston in 1989. Not a good association for me. I love Charles. Overall it sounds sophisticated.
This is my daughter Eloise Mary-Catherine.
You say: Hi there Eloise!
You think: I really like this name. I could have done without the Mary though. Eloise Catherine would have been fine. I'd also think her mother had good taste, but was probably religious.
This is my son Percy Edward.
You say: Hi Percy.
You think: EWW.. Percy is such a prissy name. Reminds me of Percy Weasley also, and I hate him. I love Edward. I'd think the mother took the old fashioned thing too far, and wonder if Percy was short for Percival?
This is my son Oliver George. We call him Ollie (assuming that he's young).
You say: Hi Ollie, I love your name!
You think: What a fabulous name. George is such a great middle name for this. Most Oliver's I see have James as a middle name, this is a nice change.
