Year 1: A careless teen knocks over a bookshelf at Selena's bookstore and it lands on her right leg, trapping her underneath. Her leg breaks and Selena is placed in a wheelchair, as it is increasingly difficult for her to walk, even after the leg is supposed to have healed.

Year 14: Elodie and Amelie both join the middle school cheer team this year, and Elodie also plays softball. Amelie starts taking piano lessons. Gabriel is learning soccer and cello. Teddy is playing baseball and piano, and Fabián starts voice lessons. Seymour starts dance, way over in Germany.
