Medieval Year Game: de San Martín Family
Year 0: The Spanish EmpireDH: Marcos Agustín de San Martín (curly dark brown hair, brown eyes) [author]
DW: Calista Inés de San Martín {Sánchez} (wavy mousy hair, dark brown eyes) [gardener]Marcos and Calista were recently married in a heartfelt ceremony in their large town. Marcos is an author in a family of scribes while Calista’s family takes profession in gardening. Both families were on good terms with each other and the newly-wed couple is very much in love.Year 1: The Spanish EmpireA supposed mystic by the name of de Paz has been gaining a considerable amount of popularity in Marcos and Calista’s town. Marcos is unsure if this de Paz is simply a hoaxer, but he decides to may the mystic a visit and investigate. De Paz predicts an “omen” that Marcos’s books will gain much renown across the Spanish Empire - Marcos assumes this is too good to be true, so he goes home and thinks nothing of it. Unless, maybe it could be true? No, that’s foolish.Year 2: The Spanish EmpireDH: Marcos Agustín de San Martín (curly dark brown hair, brown eyes) [author]
DW: Calista Inés de San Martín {Sánchez} (wavy mousy hair, dark brown eyes) [gardener]DD: Isabel Estela (curly dark brown hair, brown eyes)Marcos and Calista have welcomed a daughter! Little Isabel looks exactly like her father, and her arrival has her parents overjoyed.Year 3: The Spanish EmpireIsabel developed a frightful fever over the next year. Marcos and Calista were very worried, but she managed to heal over time.Year 4: The Spanish EmpireMarcos’s mother, Beatriz, unfortunately passed away the next year. Her funeral was private and intimate in the de San Martín’s home.Year 5: The Spanish EmpireCalista was pick-pocketed one day while at the market. The man who pick-pocketed her - confirmed to be Escobar Yañez - was caught attempting to do the same to someone else, however, and was promptly charged with a fine for both thefts.Year 6: The Spanish EmpireMarcos and Calista’s town was faced with a sudden infestation of termites for many weeks. Luckily, though, they were one of the many safe.Year 7: The Spanish EmpireLittle Isabel has taken an interest in Calista’s garden and spends quite a lot of time in it. Calista is very pleased that she has found an interest.Year 8: The Spanish EmpireKing Estevan has welcomed an heir, Principe Tomás, and grand feasts have taken place in every town! Marcos and Calista are invited to their town’s feast to celebrate the arrival of the King’s son. It is a splendid, merry affair and many toasts of congratulations are given, even if the King is not present.Year 9: The Spanish EmpireSurprisingly, the town bulletin writes news of a peasant uprising one day in a smaller town elsewhere. Considering the celebrations last year, this is rather unusual. The bulletin gives little information on the uprising, but hopefully it’s nothing Marcos and Calista need to worry about.Year 10: The Spanish EmpireTraveling merchants have visited Marcos and Calista’s town with a large amount of gold, spices, dyes, and ivory from Africa. Customers quickly flock their caravan and Marcos manages to get a good deal on some spices.
