They date for seven years before marrying. Brooke is a music teacher while Meg is a PR consultant. During her teens, Brooke's circle of friends were mostly foster children who dealt with various problems stemming from it. Because of that, she wanted to adopt a child to give a proper and secure life. Since she told Meg, she was instantly on board. Brooke minored in Spanish in college and is fluent in it.
