Bert and I both grew up in the Philippines. I am the child of the American ambassadors to the Philippines and Bert is the child of former Baptist missionaries. He runs and dentist office in a poorer part of Manila, as a part of the government welfare program, and I work at a hair salon in a wealthier part of town.

This year we threw a huge party for Tallulah's first birthday.

Bert's department changed and he is now working in a different section of town, closer to home.

I have been down and out for the past few weeks with pneumonia.

This year I have accomplished my goal of opening up my own hair salon.

I have been suffering from severe abdominal cramps, went to the doctor and discovered that I was five months pregnant with our second child and didn't even know it!

This year we took a behind the scenes tour of the zoo in Manila.

Year 9- Travel
This year we took a trip to Australia. Bert and I went on a very romantic date to the Sidney opera house. And we had loads of fun sightseeing with the kids.

Year 10- Family Event
This year we went to Bert's big family reunion in the States. It was wonderful to meet his family and visit friends. The grandparent's really loved meeting their grandchildren.

This year we went on a trip to Paris!

Year 12- Job
This year I was invited to come to Paris. I do hair for lots of politicians and celebrities and was recognized internationally at a ceremony there.

This year Bert accomplished one of his goals by learning how to fly and airplane.

Year 14- Job
This year Bert was promoted to a dentistry research team. To help find cures for diseases of the mouth.

This year My mother passed away.

After my mother's death, my family realized how short life is and is having a huge get together in LA.

Year 18- Family Event
Two more Reunion's this year. I wonder if this will be an annual thing now. At least the grandparent's are happy.
