H: Eduardo Alfonso Kravitz
W: Martha Noemi Campbell
Eduardo is a male model; Martha is in the police academy. They meet at a bar in Philadelphia, where Martha lives and Eduardo grew up. They have a long-distance relationship for three years, while Eduardo travels the world modeling and Martha becomes a cop. He proposes on a trip to Paris for fashion week, and they marry in a small ceremony at a church in Martha's hometown in Minnesota.
Year One: Job Transfer
Eduardo is such a successful male model, he is able to settle in Philadelphia and commute to New York or Europe for work a few days a month. They buy a small house on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
Year Two: Random : Second Job
Eduardo decides to pursue his long-time dream of opening his own photography studio in Philadelphia. He cuts back on modeling and begins building a studio portrait business, catering to young, hip couples and parents in the city.
Year Three: Pet - Cat
For their third anniversary, Eduardo and Martha buy a Maine Coon cat. They name him Freddie Mercury.
Year Four: Family Affair
Martha suffers an unplanned ectopic pregnancy and is hospitalized. She and Eduardo are devastated, but it makes them realize that they do want children, and they begin trying in earnest.
Year Five: Birth
Martha and Eduardo are utterly thrilled when she gives birth to a healthy baby girl via c-Section. They name her Cecile Estela Kravitz. She has curly dark hair like her father and hazel eyes like her mom.
Year Six: Birth
Just eleven months after Cecile's birth, Martha and Eduardo welcome a baby boy: Ajit Ravi Kravitz (via C-section). He is the spitting image of his mother, and his parents are thrilled.
Year Seven: Travel
Martha takes three days vacation time from her job on the force. The family spends a weekend in New York, visiting Central Park and museums.
Year Eight: Birth
Exactly nine months after their weekend in New York, Martha and Eduardo have a second daughter, Zipporah Mary Kravitz. She has her father's features (and height!) but her mother's coloring.
Year Nine: Travel
Eduardo is going back to Paris for Fashion Week, and he brings Cecile (age four) and Ajit (age three) along to give Martha some one-on-one time with Zipporah. The children have a wonderful time-- spitting off the statue of liberty and chasing each other around the statues outside the Louvre.
Year Ten: Birth
Well, nine months after Eduardo and the kids come home from Paris, Martha's welcome home present comes home to roost. It's a second son, Declan Kevin Kravitz. He looks more like his father than any of the other kids.
Year Eleven: Job
Martha has been working as a community outreach officer, and she is promoted to the director of the Student Anti-Drug/Anti-Crime Program. The position requires her to supervise police officers working in area schools around the city. It's more time-consuming, so Eduardo cuts back on his portrait business to spend more time at home.
Year Twelve: Family Affair
Martha and Eduardo decide the big kids are finally old enough to care for a dog. Cecile (age seven), Ajit (age six), and Zipporah (age four) pick out a terrier mix from a local shelter. They name him David Bowie. Freddie Mercury (the cat) is still adjusting.
Year Thirteen: Pet
Eduardo does a shoot for Italian Vogue on a farm. Declan, who is almost three, spends the day playing with a pet goat. Martha is less than thrilled when Eduardo and Declan bring the goat home. They name him George Harrison and build him a pen in their backyard.
Year Fourteen: Job
The city is undergoing budget problems, and Martha's hours are cut at work. She and Eduardo have been diligently saving for years, so they are not overly worried, and Martha enjoys the break.
Year Fifteen: Travel
Eduardo starts doing commercials in Japan. He brings the four kids and Martha along for a week, and they travel down to China and Vietnam to see the sights.
Cecile Estela: age 10
Ajit Ravi: age 9
Zipporah Mary: age 7
Declan Kevin: age 5
