It is three in the morning when the baby arrives. The whole kingdom has waited with bated breath, stayed up night after night, only to face disopointment. They are all hoping for a boy, someone to carry on the royal family. The king is wide awake watching his wife anxiously who is watching the nurse anxiously who is holding the baby. She swadles the baby in a warm cloth and hands it back to the queen. Arata has waited months for this, and though the baby will be announced to the whole kingdom as a boy later, for now she is content to hold the little prince in her arms.
