I can't say I wasn't expecting Ger to propose, one day or the other, but the way he did it... We had moved in together for 6 months and one day he called to say he was going to be late from work. About twenty minutes later, I heard a knock on the door. Well, he said he'd be late, and he had a key, so who could it be at that time? I opened the door a bit and saw four people. To my blatant surprise, they started singing:
J, the joy of his life
A, a company for all times
D, delightful in every way
A, angel in the night
Jada, will you be his wife?
And they stepped back to show Gerald kneeling with a wringbox on his hand. Of course I said yes - even if I didn't want to, how could I ever had said no?! (laughs)
