Family 1 - The Bonnaire Family

Agatha Bonnaire is the widow of an American businessman who now spends her days gardening. Letitia Bonnaire is an uptight lawyer with very few friends and a love of classical music. Phil Bonnaire on the other hand is a struggling artist who is the life and soul of the party. She still lives with her mother because she likes the security and doesn't have to pay her own bills.
Family 2 - The Fairchild Family

Daniel Fairchild is an attorney in the city while Elliot is a woman of leisure. She comes from a wealthy family and was brought up to be the ideal wife and mother. She's a frequent drinker, though not in front of the babies.

Tatiana and Leonard are both very interested in science and are closer with each other than their other siblings because of their mutual interest.
