Chandra is a 26th birthday present from Edgar to Ursula, who has always wanted a cat. Ursula's birthday this year fell upon a Full Moon (which Ursula, who is a Wiccan, regarded as a momentous occasion) so she chose the name Chandra for the small, sleek, black cat, as it means moon.
