Angie was adamant about finding out, as they had done for their first two pregnancies, because she wanted to be able to plan ahead. But Vera was dead set against it, wanting to be surprised about the sex. By the time the day of their big ultrasound appointment finally arrived, Angie had almost convinced her to find out, but Vera was still pleased when the ultrasound was inconclusive. Angie was annoyed, but quickly got over it. A few months later, their daughter was born. It was Vera's turn to pick the first name, and she had her heart set on Sheridan, which Angela despised. At first, Vera stood her ground, but she eventually decided that it wasn't fair to Angela; even Angela's favorite name, Teresa, in the middle name position could not make her warm up to Sheridan, so Vera decided to compromise, changing the name to Teresa Sheridan.
