Dear Darling Family,Jean-Marie Chiumbo is a 6 month old boy from Côte d'Ivoire. His mother died about a week after he was born. He's definitely not a quiet baby, but he's still easy to take care of. He is very healthy and has the cutest hair. Please let us know how Jean-Marie is adapting, and what it's like to have a 9 month old and a 6 month old at the same time!

Thank you so much for bringing Jean-Marie into our lives - as soon as we saw him we knew he was meant to be with us. Yeshe and Maia welcomed him with open arms and love having a little brother to play with. Gia viewed him as an imposter at first, during the first few weeks she would cry murder if i picked him up :) She's started to accept him now though. For the first few weeks i was run ragged trying to cater to the demands of this new little person as well as the most demanding 9-month old ever (!) but eventually i learnt how to cope and now everything is going swimmingly. We are considering changing Jean-Marie's first name to something else - purely for reasons of ease - much as we like Jean-Marie we have had quite a lot of people pronouncing it 'JEEN' which is a bit annoying. We will keep Jean-Marie Chiumbo as middle names though. Anyway - whatever his name is - we love our baby dearly and are so grateful to you for bringing him to us :)
