DCat: ZeldaOne year has passed since we adopted three of our children: Maya, James, and Eliza. Maya, the oldest is very happy she has a new family and loves being the older sister. She is very motherly. She has accpeted the death of her parents and has realized how lucky she is to be in Canada. She's very bright and excelling wonderfully in school, Grade 4 French Immersion. She has many friends and enjoys Math and Science. She also really loves Art. Lila, her baby tiger, is now in the Vancouver Zoo, where she is able to visit her everyday. Along with learning French, and English we are also keeping her Indian language and heritage alive. She has many Indian native friends who she sees everyday and we have a babysitter who only speaks the language. We've also changed her middle name Indu to India, to link her to her heritage. Alice has got along really well with three new siblings all at one. Maya and Alice are very close. They like to share secrets and are very protective towards eachother. Alice is now 7 and in grade 2 French Immersion. She likes when the babysitter comes so she can learn Indian. She has quite the vocabulary already and it has become her and Maya's "secret" language because noone else in the household can understand.Henry is coping well too. Henry and James are very close. He hates going to school now, Kindergarten French Immersion, because he and James has to be seperated for 5 hours out of the day, 3 days a week. Life is rough :)James, we've changed is name from Jamshed to James so it would be easier for him in Canada but kept his middle name Arash to link him to his heritage. James is very much a rough and tumble boy like Henry. He loves the outdoors and animals.Eliza is a typical one year old. It was nice to watch a baby grow up again. She likes to tag a long with the older children an is quite the ham.
