Re: Making a family (all in 1 post!)
Part 1:
Hey everyone! How are you all?We just had a beautiful daughter, Emily Phoebe. She was born on March 26th at 3:52 AM and she weighed 7lbs 6oz. Everyone says Millie looks exactly like her dad.Laura, Tom and MilliePart 2: Your first child is in preschool. Tell about how well your child is doing, if they've had to sit in the time-out chair, or if they think throwing water balloons at the teacher is funny. You or your DW just delivered twins. (Or triplets, maybe octuplets if you really want.)
Hi everyoneMillie is in preschool and is doing really well. She loves playing games there and is very reluctant to sit still, so she had to sit in the time-out chair because she gets so restless easily. Nevertheless, at least she's having fun and making some new friends. Also, we recently had two new additions to our family! Jack Holden and Daniel James were born on August 5th. Jack weighed 7lbs 4oz and Danny weighed 5lbs 13oz. They were born a month earlier than they should have been because Jack was monopolising the blood supply, but they're both wonderful. They look like their dad too but they have my blue eyes instead of his dark ones.Lots of love

Dear friends and family,We've got some good news and some bad news. First of all, Danny and Jack have just started to walk and they are doing really well. But the other day Millie's teacher called me asking me to come to the hospital. Apparently she collapsed at school and they'd had to rush her to the casualty department. It turned out that she is diabetic so we have to be careful with what she eats. For the moment I have to inject her insulin but when she's older I'll teach her to do it herself. She was very brave though and didn't cry. Also we just adopted another child from Ireland. Aisling Teagan is just a month old and has blonde hair and brown eyes, completely opposite from the other kids. Now that we have her we had to move to a bigger house, but at least all the kids can have their own room. Saying that though I don't think the twins will want to leave each other!Laura, Tom, Millie, Jack, Danny and AshPart 4:
Dear friends and family,Recently we decided that there was something missing in our family, so we went to the local pet shelter and got a dog. He's called Milo and he's a chocolate Labrador. The kids absolutely love him, especially Millie. She's in eighth grade now and is doing really well in science, winning the middle school prize in the science fair for her project on biodiversity. We're hoping she'll make her confirmation in a few months and as such would like to invite you all to be there. Hope you can make it!Danny and Jack are in fourth grade and having tons of fun. They might look more like me but in terms of creativity they definitely take after their dad - Jack's had loads of pictures put up on the walls in class ever since he started at school, and Danny's getting a reputation as a musician. He plays guitar and drums, and even writes songs! As for Ash, she's doing fantastically well in the third grade, and has just been made forward on the girls' soccer team. She and her teammates are never out of each other's houses!Laura, Tom, Millie, Jack, Danny and AshPart 5: Tell what everyone is doing in thirty years!
Dear family and friends,Time sure seems to have flown past quickly. There have been good times and bad times, laughter and tears, but somehow I can't help wondering where my kids' lives went along the way. Nevertheless I'm glad to say they're doing fantastically well.Emily (she won't let us call her by her childhood nickname any more!) is 43 now, hard as that is to believe! She's still living near us, working at the local hospital as a paediatrician. Her husband Michael is a radiographer and they have two daughters, Gwedolyn Audrey (16) and Olivia Charlotte (14).Dan (yet another of the kids who dropped his nickname) is 39. He's living in Los Angeles where he works as a script editor for TV shows. He's got two kids, Jacob Daniel (11) and Jennifer Kathryn (8), and has been married to his lawyer wife Jessica since they finished college.Jack's 39 too, and he works for a New York newspaper as a photographer. He got married a few years back but then unfortunately he and his wife divorced two years later. After a long fight, Jack managed to win custody of their seven-year-old son William. They're both very happy together but I still worry about him in that big city. Finally, Aisling is 38. She's the sports coach at a girls' high school and recently her team got to the state finals. Her husband Ryan actually teaches Art at the nearby boys' high school of the same name, and they have a daughter called Amelia Violet who's 5.Hope you are all OK and see you very soonLaura and Tom
